The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dr. Dayo Mobereola has called on Christians to use the Easter celebration as a moment for sober reflection on the ideals of Christianity and commitment to personal and spiritual renewal.

Dr. Mobereola who said this in his Easter message to Christians also noted that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ teach the values of sacrifice, hope and spiritual renewal. He also called on Christians to use the occasion to renew their faith in God and hope in the Nigeria.

The NIMASA DG expressed the hope that “the Easter celebration, which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will inspire renewed purpose, fresh beginnings and continued sacrifice to the service to the nation and humanity”.

He also charged Christians to always uphold the values of love, compassion, discipline, empathy and sacrifice that Jesus Christ embodies emphasizing that “these values inspire patriotism which is at the root of the growth and development of any nation”.

The NIMASA DG further urged Nigerians to imbibe these values of Easter and work collectively towards building a safer and more prosperous nation.
