In line with its resolve to always single out personalities who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour, the Media outfit on Thursday, the 25th of April, 2024, honoured Sir Johnny Ubaka as Prestigious Maritime Practitioner.
Sir Johnny Ubaka, a seasoned Freight Forwarder and National Coordinator of Association of Concerned Freight Forwarders and Transporters (ACFFT), was singled out for the honour in recognition of his immense accomplishments as an entrepreneur and seasoned maritime practitioner, and his contributions to the maritime industry as well as to National economy as a Customs Broker and strong advocate of Ease of Doing Business.
Very recently, Sir Johnny Ubaka made a case for Importers of general cargoes as he urged the Nigeria Customs to extend the same gesture of removal of 25 percent penalty on wrongly declared import vehicles to them, insisting that it would not only promote fairness and transparency but also contribute to a more conducive environment for trade and commerce in Nigeria.
The MD/CEO of Jonka Global Concept Nigeria Limited, a Customs Licensed Agency and maritime consultancy firm is in no doubt in the compendium of accomplished maritime practitioners.
Reacting after receiving the plaque, Sir Ubaka expressed his profound gratitude to the media outfit for the special recognition, he dedicated the award to God Almighty, attributing the honour and chains of others that came before it to hard work, dedication and consistency. He thanked the media team and encouraged them to remain consistent and always be accurate and unbiased in their reportage.
The colourful event which held in his office premises in Apapa Lagos on Thursday, was witnessed by some of his friends and business associates.
