Chief Henry Iheanyichukwu Njoku, HARRITEX, (Ikeoha), was born to the noble family of Nze and Lolo Kevin Njoku of Umuovum in Ulakwo community of Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State.His parents were highly reputed for their tradition of industry, candour, community spirit, spartan will laced with deep trust and faith in God. His, is a Christian family etched in the Christian values of obedience, sacrifice, piety, and simplicity.
As a young boy growing up in the rustic village of Umuovum Ulakwo, he had his eyes on the cosmopolitan atmosphere outside his homeland. He knew education held the keys to unlock the hidden potentials of his dreams. Consequently, he embraced education early in life, transversing the landscape like a colossus.
His record of education from primary to secondary schools at his local community and to University of Science and Technology Rivers State, earning B.Sc and MBA in Business Administration remains a study in faith. Having scaled through in good records, he joined his first sister in Port Harcourt. This began another good story of his life.
He worked satisfactorily in various firms and cut his teeth in the core sector of freight forwarding, an area he, by God’s grace,has excelled.
He founded the HARRITEX GROUP, made up of HARRITEX ENGINEERING, HARRITEX SERVICES, HARRITEX COMMUNICATION, HARRITEX UK, HARRITEX PETROLEUM, HARRITEX CONCEPTS ETC. These are lucrative outfits that have given hundreds of people gainful employments.
In the course of his professional duties, he held and still holds many positions of trust. He was at various times, Vice Chairman,and Chairman, Airport chapter, and also zonal Chairman, East, Association of Nigerian Customs Agents (ANLCA), he held these positions for two tenures, Chairman, ASECO, Member, National Displinary Committee, and Chairman, Disciplinary Committee of ANLCA, Airport. Chief Njoku was a pioneer member, Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria, CRFFN. He is currently Vice Chairman,CRFFN Governing Board, and a former two time Chairman, Board of Trustees of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents(ANLCA) and presently, its National Patron. He sits on the board of International Federation of Customs Brokers, IFCBA as a Director. He has articulated proposals that had formed parts of national policies in the import and export sectors.
Chief Henry lheanyichukwu Njoku was again at various times, Sole Administrator, Owerri North,(VICE CHIARMAN Algon) Commissioner, Imo State Oil Producing Development Area ISOPADEC, Former Board Member Oil and Gas Free Zone, former aspirant, Owerri Federal Constituency under PDP, and a major player in the politics of the state.
Chief Henry Njoku, is a member of the Order of the Knights of Saint Molumba and a Deputy Grand Knight of the Divine Sub-Council. He is also, a multiple traditional title holder and has received many honours and awards spanning professional, political, social and religious divides. He is affectionately married to Lolo/Lady Chika Njoku and the union is blessed with five successful children.
