IGP Redeploys Imo State Police Commissioner Ahead of Imo Gubernatorial Election
In anticipation of the upcoming gubernatorial election in Imo state, scheduled for November 11, 2023, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has made a strategic decision to redeploy the Commissioner of Police (CP) Mohammed Barde from his current post in the state to the Force Headquarters for a special duty assignment.
The development, according to the Force Spokesman, “underscores the commitment of the Nigerian Police Force to maintain the highest standards of impartiality and lawfulness throughout the electoral proceedings.
