The deployment of 37 Comptrollers to various units, Departments and Commands across the country has been approved by the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali(Rtd.). According to the postings released on the 7th of February, 2022, the newly posted Comptrollers were advised by the Customs Boss to justify the confidence reposed in them by NCS Management by bringing to bear their years of experience and training in trade facilitation and anti- smuggling activities on their new assignment.

 

Meanwhile, Comptroller Musa MBA, Controller TinCan Command is among the officers that were redeployed as he will now be in charge of Import &Export handing the Command over to Comptroller ASS Oloyede who before now was in charge of ICT/MOD.

 

The officers deployed include : SP Umar – SR&P, NP Burromvyat- Zone B Hqtrs,TM Bayero- E,I&I, S Ahmed- SR&P, SA Abubakar-CC T&L, AA Umar- Western Marine, AM Adamu- Niger/Kogi, EA Adegbite- ICT, JO Attah- Kebbi, AI Udenze- T&T, LN Mark- EN/AN/EB, AR Abdulkadir- HRD, MI Baya- Zone C Hqtrs., FN Ogar Modi- CC SR&P, H Kala- Budget,
JD Ndarni- E,I&I
,D Yisa Omogbehin-Lagos FTZ, MM Gidado- E,I&I.
Others are: SJ Bomoi- FCT Command, M Dansdakwa- CC North Eastern Marine,
MA Umar- Kano/Jigawa, KC Egwu- ICT/MOD, AS Oloyode- TinCan Island, A Dappa William- Eastern Marine, MBA Musa- Import and Export,IB Umar – Zone C Hqtrs., AC Pam- CC Fats, BA Makinde- Ogun 1, IQ Ogbudu-CC Zone A, Zonal Office,
AOB Alade -HRD,
T Tachio – CTC Kano,
CE Ayo- PCA Zone B,
AT Abe- PCA Zone C,
AC Ayalaogu- CC T&T,
KD Ilesanmi-CC Board,
BA Jaiyeoba-CC Oyo/Osun, and S Chiroma- T&T.

 

The deployment takes immediate effect.

The Comptroller General in his marching order, reiterated the need for all Area Controllers and Unit heads to take full charge of the affairs of their Commands by ensuring absolute compliance with extant fiscal policies while leveraging on the efficient management of data to optimize trade facilitation and revenue collection given the enormous expectation of government regarding revenue generation in the current year.

 

However, the CGC also directed all officers to be extremely vigilant in protecting the lives and wellbeing of Nigerians by ensuring the full fortification of border areas against the incursion of smugglers and other cross border criminals.
