An advocacy group, National Compliance Joint Taskforce of Licensed Clearing Agents- NCJTFLCA has congratulated the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on his election as Chairman, World Customs Organization (WCO)

THE CG OF CUSTOMS, BASHIR ADEWALE ADENIYI MFR.

In a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to the media, The President of NCJTFLCA, High Chief Dr. Basil Chudi Nwolisa, said that the choice of Adeniyi to lead the organization would go a long way to repositioning Nigeria as the commercial hub of Africa.

Nwolisa advised the CG not to allow some bad eggs in the Nigeria Customs Service to tarnish his image now that he is at the helm of two important organizations.

DR. BASIL CHUDI NWOLISA, PRESIDENT, NCJTFLCA

He stated that, “as an advocacy group, NCJTFLCA will partner with the Comptroller General of Customs to achieve his noble objectives. We all know that every organization has its problems and challenges, problems are bound to be solved and challenges surmounted. And the NCS and other government agencies can only achieve great goals by constantly interfacing with relevant stakeholders.”

” We , at NCJTFLCA, are happy over the honour and recognition given to the CGC by World Customs Organization (WCO). We are very optimistic that he will do very well going by his outstanding performance as Nigeria’s number one Customs officer.

“NCJTFLCA as an advocacy group, will always commend public officers who are doing well, but must not fail to criticize and call for arrest and prosecution of any corrupt public officer.

” The CGC has in a very short while initiated laudable ideas and projects that have contributed tremendously to the transformation of the Nigeria Customs Service. His administrative ingenuity stands him out as a public officer. ”

” Once again, we felicitate the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, and we pray God Almighty to grant him the wisdom and enablement to discharge his duties as head of the Nigeria Customs and WCO Chair.” Nwolisa stated.
