We celebrate the CGC and we are optimistic that he is going to perform beyond expectations. The CGC is a seasoned officer and a hyperactive performer. His itinerary as Customs Boss goes a long way to show his level of commitment and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service. He is always on the move visiting commands, commissioning projects, engaging stakeholders at one event or the other. He is a thorough bred public officer, and we at Fano Group felicitate him on this milestone achievement.”
“Expectations were high when Bashir Adewale Adeniyi was appointed acting Comptroller General of Customs as industry stakeholders heaved a sigh of relief after Col. Hammed Ali (Rtd) left the office, and evidences on ground today has proven that some of us who never supported the idea of appointing a non Customs officer as CGC were right. The downtime we experience at Customs processing Centers (CPCs) are almost a thing of the past due to the homegrown service provider, B’Odogwu, which is one of the major achievements of the CGC.” The Royal Father stated.
The World Customs Organization (WCO) was established in 1952, it celebrated 70th anniversary in 2022. The organization is 73 years old in 2025. It was initially known as the Customs Co-operation Council (CCC).
