National Compliance Joint Taskforce of Licensed Clearing Agents- (NCJTFLCA) has congratulated Muslim faithful as they celebrate Eid al-Adha on the 10th day of Dhul- Hijja, being the 12th and final month of Islamic lunar calendar.

In a press release signed by the National President of NCJTFLCA, High Chief Dr Basil Chudi Nwolisa, he called on Muslims to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad on religious tolerance.

He said that Prophet Muhammad’s teachings emphasized on peaceful coexistence by advocating for mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation between Muslims and non-Muslims, as well as promoting unity and harmony among all people. This, Nwolisa said, involved treating all individuals with kindness and fairness, regardless of their religious beliefs.

According to Nwolisa, ” the only thing that unites people of different race is the spirit of sportsmanship of which every form of human and ethnic differences are jettisoned while fans show a high level of solidarity with their team. During football competitions, all Nigerians unite against any foreign team that is competing against the Super Eagles or any of our National teams. Some times l sit back to imagine divers ethnicities collapsing every barrier, jettisoning ethnic and religious differences, doing away with tribalism and acute animosity to embrace one another with the kind of love and patriotism we display during sporting competitions. Nigeria would be second to paradise.”

“But the things that divide us seem to be stronger than the things that unite us. And these sentiments are whipped up by arch enemies of this country, mainly politicians, who are inspired by selfishness.”

Meanwhile, Nwolisa, in the message, called for peaceful coexistence and urged Nigerians to support and cherish one another.

The President of NCJTFLCA, promised that his group would continue to collaborate with the government and its key agencies in the fight against corruption. Saying that NCJTFLCA, as an advocate group, would continue to provide the needed assistance in that area. “We are in collaboration with government agencies like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Nigeria Customs, and others, to bring about a change of narrative in the maritime sector, and the entire port industry. We can not continue to fold our arms while a certain percentage of the people criminalize the entire system. We strongly believe that with collective efforts, patriotism and unwavering dedication, we can turn around this country and set it on the part of tremendous progress and amazing prosperity.”

“I want to use this opportunity to urge every patriot, to be part of this movement that aims at injecting fresh hope into the veins of our youths, and that of future generations. NCJTFLCA is championing the campaign in the port industry, and we want more hands to work with us to actualize the noble objective .”

” We are not going to effect the change in one day, it is a continuous campaign that requires both leg work and resources, but l strongly hope that we shall get there.”

” The NCJTFLCA felicitate our Muslim brothers and sisters, especially those in the port industry on this great occasion. We are wishing them a wonderful celebration”, Nwolisa concluded.
