PRESIDENT GENERAL OF ASIMPIN SALUTES MEMBERS AS CHRISTIANS CELEBRATE EASTER
*** Says Igbo Maritime Forum is defunct.
*** Cautions members not to sell out and remain steadfast

The President General of Association of Igbo Maritime Practitioners in Nigeria – ASIMPIN, HRM, Eze Amb. Damian E. Obianigwe, has sent a goodwill message to members of ASIMPIN worldwide as Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the Easter message, the PG appreciated members for remaining steadfast thanking them for their selfless contributions and uncommon commitment to their collective course saying “there is no cause for alarm”!
In the goodwill message signed by the Chief of Staff to the President General of ASIMPIN worldwide, Hon. Chief Uba Lawrence Chukwubunna and made available to The Prestige Blended Magazine Online, the PG assured all the members of ASIMPIN that there was no cause for alarm as he went further to appreciate all who have shown uncommon commitment to the Association especially those who rose up to condemn intruders and those he described as “meddlesome Interlopers whose stock in trade is to destroy rather than to build,” thanking them for putting the disgruntled elements and trouble shooters in their rightful position.
According to the PG,”We should all know that there is nothing like Igbo Maritime Forum again, it is long dead and buried and no longer exists. ASIMPIN is fully registered with CAC and we operate under the rules and regulations of our association, ASIMPIN is a legally constituted body duly registered with the CAC. We are not touts and cannot be treated as such, we operate within the ambits of the law of the Federal Government of Nigeria.”
“We are not in a Banana Republic and the time of “anything goes” is gone, those seeking to return to that era can go and pitch their tents elsewhere not in ASIMPIN under the stewardship of His Royal majesty, Eze. Amb.Damian Obianigwe.”
Furthermore, members have been cautioned against heeding the calls of questionable individuals on whatever platform,in his words, ” if any of you is swindled in the process bear in mind that you are on your own as ASIMPIN has no other platform or annex elsewhere. If it happens don’t call or blame the PG for l have not given my blessings or recognition to any group parading as ELDERS’ COUNCIL”.
” I hereby advise all of you to disregard the letter by so called ELDERS’ COUNCIL who are desperately seeking recognition and undue relevance riding on the back of a defunct IGBO MARITIME FORUM. The letter written on a fake letter head with fake address is irrelevant as it is of no effect.”
Meanwhile, the President General in the message, directed members to go back to their respective Chapters and validate their membership as normal activities would commence fully after the mourning period of its late Secretary General, Chief Dom Obi.
Furthermore, members have been directed to go about their normal businesses without fear, ” there is nothing like Elders’Council either inaugurated or established by the PG, nothing like that exists anywhere within ASIMPIN. So any letter or issue whatsoever, emanating from such unrecognized and unregistered group should not be entertained. ”
The group led by the duo of Chief Kelly Dike and Dr. Ben Nwokeka has been warned to henceforth desist from causing disaffection and confusion in ASIMPIN under the stewardship of His Royal Majesty, the PG of ASIMPIN.
However, the PG has categorically stated that as of today, the Founder of NAGAFF, Dr.Boniface Aniebonam, is not a registered member of ASIMPIN in any Chapter as those following him should know that they are not working for the good of ASIMPIN as outsiders can not detect what happens in the association, “we have our constitution and we shall keep working according to its provisions”.
