The Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners (CONMMEP) has announced its forthcoming 2025 Workshop, themed “Empowering Communities Through Strategic Partnerships.” The highly anticipated event will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Rock View Hotel, Apapa, Lagos.

The workshop forms part of CONMMEP’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration among key stakeholders in the maritime sector to promote sustainable community engagement and inclusive economic growth.

This year’s edition is expected to convene industry leaders, policymakers, community advocates, and corporate organizations to explore innovative strategies for empowering communities through partnerships that drive measurable impact.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mr. Lod Onyeji, CONMMEP’s Project Coordinator, highlighted the significance of collective effort in achieving meaningful community transformation.

“Empowerment is not achieved in isolation; it requires shared vision, collaboration, and sustained partnerships. Through this workshop, we hope to inspire actionable ideas that promote sustainable development within the maritime ecosystem and beyond,”Onyeji stated.

The 2025 CONMMEP CSR Workshop emphasizes the organization’s commitment to leveraging the power of media advocacy and partnership for community progress and national development.

Stakeholders and interested participants are encouraged to attend and contribute to this vital conversation on building resilient and empowered communities through strategic collaboration.
