The National Compliance Joint Taskforce of Licensed Clearing Agents- (NCJTFLCA) has sealed a deal with Council for Maritime Transport Unions and Associations (COMTUA), to leverage collaboration in the fight against corruption in freight forwarding and Transport Logistics Sector .

The two groups on Wednesday, 11th of June, 2025, entered into a strategic partnership aimed at fighting corruption and addressing challenges in the sector

 

 

At the meeting held in Apapa, Lagos, the leaderships of both organizations, led by High Chief Dr. Basil Chudi Nwolisa (NCJTFLCA) and Mr. Yinka Aroyewun (COMTUA), resolved to tackle the numerous challenges facing their members.

 

 

They agreed to harness synergy and leverage their collective strengths and membership capacities in the pursuit of all legal and necessary actions aimed at promoting a corruption-free and efficient sector.

 

 

According to the President of NCJTFLCA, Dr. Basil Nwolisa, the partnership underscores the commitment of both organizations to creating a conducive business environment for their members and the industry at large.

 

NCJTFLCA, as an advocacy group, has continued to intensify campaign against corruption in the port industry, signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with government agencies and non – governmental organizations (NGOs) to check corrupt practices in Nigerian ports

 

 

NCJTFLCA is in partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Maritime Police, and other relevant stakeholders, and has continued to extend its hands of fellowship to patriotic individuals and groups that are willing to genuinely commit to making the port industry business friendly.
