CHIEF (AMB) AFAM CHUKWUMA BAGS EAU’s HONORARY DOCTORATE DEGREE

The Deputy National President of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders-NAGAFF, Chief (Amb) Afam Chukwuma (Owetaonyeora), has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by European- American University, Republic of Panama.
The renowned international Freight Forwarder, Maritime guru, Logistics Expert, Philanthropist and Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of International Supply Chain Systems Limited, was honoured with Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree in Maritime Business Logistics Management and Corporate Governance, alongside others on Saturday, 29th March, 2025.

Fwdr. Azeez Abayomi Mustapha, Rff, FITMT, Managing Principal, AZ De World Cargo Logistics Limited, who bagged an Honorary Doctor of Arts degree in Strategic Business Development and Logistics Management, Legal Practitioner, Business Man and Philanthropist, Mbamalu Valentine Esq., CEO, Touch of Valentine Homes and Interior Limited and Valentine Foundation, as well as Principal Partner of Touch Valentine Chamber, bagged Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree in Entrepreneurship, International Business Management and Corporate Governance honoris causa, High Chief Valentine Uchechukwu Oragwa, Seasoned Maritime Practitioner, Real Estate guru and Philanthropist was also conferred with a Doctor of Science D.Sc.) Degree in International Business Management and Corporate Leadership, among many others .
Chief Amb.(Dr.) AFAM Chukwuma (Owetaonyeora), has a sound professional background in freight forwarding and maritime logistics, with vast knowledge in project shipment and Supply Chain Management.
He mentored and still mentoring many young successful freight forwarders in the maritime sector. His company, a foremost international trade logistics and freight forwarding company is known for transparency, timely delivery and giving utmost priority to client’s satisfaction by providing world class solutions. He gives his staff sense of belonging and treats all with respect, and that is why the company is seen by the staff as a family.
Chief Amb.(Dr) Afam Chukwuma; has contributed immensely to the growth of the maritime sector and national economy, and the vital roles he plays as a freight forwarder earned him the position of Deputy National President of NAGAFF (Seaport).
He is a member of notable professional bodies, including FIATA, Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), and several others.
He is Former Member of the Ministerial Committee on Ease of Doing Business on the Port Corridor, 2018.
Chief Chukwuma is popular among his kinsmen, and was conferred with the Ozo Chieftaincy title as Owetaonyeora Awka Etiti, being interpreted as “One who brings and gives to the public”, because of his benevolence.
He is one of the Founders and Pioneer Chairman of Awka Etiti Renaissance Forum, a new group committed towards the development of local communities. He believes in giving back to the society which he has shown in different ways including, building and donating a physical laboratory to St. Mary’s College Awka Etiti where he hails from.
Sir Afam Chukwuma Hope Foundation (SACHOF), has been given succour to many hopeless children by paying school fees and training many in the area of skill acquisition.
Chief Amb. (Dr.) Afam Chukwuma (Owetaonyeora) is happily married to delectable Mrs. Afam Chukwuma, and they are blessed with lovely children.
