HON. CHIBUZO OGAMBA FLAGS OFF HIS CAMPAIGN AT KLT, PROMISES TO REVIVE THE CHAPTER

Following the lifting of campaign ban by Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents-ANLCA, Hon. Chibuzo Valentine Ogamba, on Thursday, 14th of November 2024, officially flagged off his campaign at Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) for the office of ANLCA Chairman.
Prior to the Flag off, Hon. Ogamba was on Monday, accompanied by friends and business associates to the National Secretariat of ANLCA, Dikko Inde House, Amuwo Odofin, to purchase an Expression of Interest Form (EIF) for the forthcoming ANLCA Chapter elections.
On Wednesday, 13th of November, 2024, Honourable Ogamba was accompanied by the Chairman, Association of Igbo Maritime Practitioners in Nigeria -ASIMPIN, KLT Chapter, Chief Chukwunonso Chukwudinma (Ebube Igbo) and other notable personalities, to a courtesy visit to the President General of ASIMPIN, His Royal Highness, Eze Amb. Damian Emeka Obianigwe JP, in his Lagos office. During the courtesy visit, Hon. Ogamba’s candidacy was endorsed by the PG who also gave him a Royal blessing.
The flag off ceremony was graced by notable maritime practitioners, friends and supporters of Hon. Chibuzo Valentine Ogamba. The colourful ceremony availed individuals the opportunity to pledge support for his candidacy. The Chairman of ASIMPIN ,KLT Chapter, Chief Chukwunonso Chukwudinma (Ebube Igbo), in his opening remarks, described Hon. Ogamba as a very humble man, trustworthy and resolute. He said that Ogamba started from the scratch, carried bags for notable agents, learned the ropes and grew to be be where he is today, he added that his success as a Customs Licensed Agent was by dint of hard work, resilience, tenacity and dedication.
In his words, Former President General of ASIMPIN, and ANLCA chieftain, High Chief Isdore Agoha, described Hon. Ogamba’s candidacy as one of the best things that has happened at KLT in recent times, he expressed optimism that Ogamba would out perform his predecessors if given the opportunity to serve as Chairman, KLT Chapter. In his words, “The young man that made us to gather here today is someone we can confidently trust with leadership position and go to sleep, because he is trustworthy, he is open hearted, he is courageous, accountable and has respect for people regardless of status. I am urging every one here today, to rally support for this young man, he is capable and has what it takes to bring prosperity to ANLCA, KLT Chapter.”
Speaking, the Secretary of ASIMPIN Electoral Commission- ASIMPEC, Dr. Arthur Igwilo, called on ANLCA, KLT Chapter, to vote massively for Hon. Chibuzo Valentine Ogamba, describing him as the right man for the job. He cautioned against tribal and religious sentiments, saying that fairness and equity demands a little to the right, a little to the left.
Addressing the gathering, the MD/ CEO of SIGABA LOGISTICS Limited, and top contender for the office of Chairman, ANLCA, KLT Chapter, Hon. Chibuzo Valentine Ogamba, expressed profound appreciation for those who left their various businesses to honour his invitation. He promised to revive the chapter and make it business friendly if elected chairman. According to Ogamba, “the era of coming out here to spend all day struggling to take your consignment and at the end of the day, go home empty handed because of extortion by the authorities is going to be a thing of the past, my team will not allow that to happen if voted as chairman, we will always defend your interest and make your welfare out top priority, the era of working like an elephant and eating like an ant is gone, we shall interface with Customs, and always negotiate your welfare as relevant stakeholders in this industry. ”
“All l need is your support because l can’t vote myself in as Chairman, you are the ones to do it, and l sincerely promise to work for you, defend your interest, and make KLT Chapter great again. I am a grassroots person, l started here as a boy, today, l can proudly say that you saw me grow to become the man l am today, l appreciate your support both in good time and in bad time, you saw me through challenges and you have been with me in good times as well.
Today, opportunity beckons, this is a clarion call to all of you that have gathered here today, my friends, business associates, brothers and sisters, go out there with the message of total revival of KLT Chapter, tell everyone that Chibuzo Valentine Ogamba is determined to cause that desired change at KLT, we will rekindle that light again. In the words of Napoleon Hill, “the best job goes to the person who can get it done without passing the buck or come back with excuses.” l strongly promise never to come back with excuses,” Ogamba said.
