The MD/CEO, God’s Power and Speed International Company Limited, has been inaugurated as Tincan Chapter Secretary of Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria – APPFLON.

Fwdr. Charles Nwachukwu was among the new chapter executives that were inaugurated on Thursday by the national President of APPFLON, Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, at the Association’s National Secretariat, Ikeja.

Fwdr. Nwachukwu, as new Tincan Secretary, will be working with Alhaji Akeem Ayobiojo, who is the Chapter Chairman, Fwdr. Jubril Usman, Vice Chairman, Fwdr. Peter Obi Anselem, Assistant Secretary, Engr. Peter Mbamaonyeukwu, Treasurer, Fwdr. Sunday Aderinsoye, Assistant Treasurer, Fwdr. Rabiu Taoffiq, Financial Secretary, Fwdr. Michael Osuya, Assistant Financial Secretary, Rev. Clinton Ikechukwu, PRO, and Fwdr. Rasheed Tijani, Customs Relations Officer.

In a brief interface with The Prestige Blended Magazine shortly after the inauguration, the new Secretary, Fwdr. Charles Nwachukwu expressed readiness for the job. He thanked the National President, Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, and the entire National Executive Committee for giving him and his team the opportunity to serve at Tincan Chapter. He described the Chairman, Alhaji Akeem Ayobiojo as a core unionist, a dogged fighter and an experienced leader, and pledged to give him the needed support to effectively deliver on the mandate.

The New Scribe of APFFLON Tincan Chapter said that he was optimistic that with strong collaboration and synergy, maritime associations could influence or shape some of the policies of government on importation and trade.

Furthermore, Fwdr Charles Nwachukwu expressed displeasure over continued network failure, and called on the Federal Government to look into it so as to restore investors confidence in trade value chain.

He lamented the avoidable loss of resources to payment of demurrage due to incessant server breakdown, saying that it has grossly contributed to the emasculation of businesses. He cautioned the Federal Government against allowing the situation to fester as no importer would like to lose his investment, saying that whatever an importer loses in the course of clearing, he recoups by inflating the price of goods in the market.
