Ogun I Customs Prioritises Officers’ Vision to Strengthen Border Operations

Platforms Communications on Friday, 16th of August,2024 hosted yet another successful edition of Maritime Career Mentorship Programme (M-CAMP).

 

The event which was held at the Nigerian Shippers Council auditorium was graced by students of Shipping Management, Transport and Logistics, Ports and Terminal Management, Maritime Transportation and Business Studies (MBTS) as well young freight forwarders and customs agents.

 

The Chief Host, the Chief Executive Officer- CEO of Platforms Communications, Mr. Silvernus Obasi, expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty for making the event a success. He also appreciated Mr. Pius Ukeyima Akutah, E.S, Nigerian Shippers Council ably represented by Mr. Ndukwe Emenike, Assistant Director, Standard Division of Regulatory Services; Dr Boniface Aniebonam, Founder of NAGAFF, who was ably represented by Dr. C.C Iwegbuna, National Publicity Secretary of NAGAFF.

 

Others include, Mr. Olubodun Ogunyankin, Chief Operating Officer, Lagos Bus Services Ltd and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT); including the President of African Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON), Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, also ably represented by Alhaji Akeem Ayobiojo, Chairman, Tincan Chapter of APFFLON.

Furthermore, Obasi thanked NSC for also partnering with his outfit in this year’s M-CAMP event, in his words, “Our gratitude also goes to Nigerian Shippers Council for availing us a befitting venue always, as well as the CILT, APFFLON and NAGAFF for their collaboration and sponsorship and sundry support in making this edition a great success.”

 

 

Many thanks also to the students/young freight forwarders from NAGAFF Academy; students of MBTS from Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT) Victoria Island Lagos; Shipping Management and Transport and Logistics students from Institute of Transport and Management Technology (ITMT) Badagry; and Merchant Marine Training Academy (MMTA), Apapa respectively, for their participation.”

 

 

The next edition of M-CAMP coming up in October is meant for students of Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Safety & Security Management, Able Seamen; Cadets and young seafeares. Watch out for it!
