MAIDEN SUMMIT FOR NIGERIAN FREIGHT FORWARDERS TO HOLD ON THURSDAY

For the very first time, Freight Forwarders in Nigeria will be converging at Rockview Hotel Festac Town, Lagos for a one day Freight Forwarding Summit.
The Special Summit which is first of its kind to be held in the subsector is being organized by Concerned Nigerian Registered Freight Forwarders(CNRFF) in Collaboration with Freight Forwarders Consultative Forum( FFCF).
The event which is slated for Thursday, the 22nd of September, 2022, by 10 AM, is expected to host freight Forwarders from Airports, Seaports and Border stations, the media and various associations within the subsector not excluding the Nigeria Customs Service and other Agencies of Government.
According to a statement by the Spokesperson of the CNRFF, Chidi Anthony Opara, Rff,FIIM,CDOA, the event is to proffer solutions to the numerous challenges facing the Maritime industry.
However, one of the Conveners of the event and President, Association of Nigerian Customs Brokers (ANCB) DR. Basil Nwolisa, said that the event would serve as a platform to unify freight forwarders for the pursuit of collective goals which is the core essence of unionism, he went further to blame most crises bedeviling the subsector on the none existence of a formidable platform for in-house resolution of crises and unification of practitioners as well as harmonization of divers interests for the advancement of the profession and that of the subsector.
Nwolisa further added that the only time freight forwarders would be taken seriously is when they present their concerns with one voice which is also one of the goals being targeted to be achieved by the grand Summit.
Seasoned Freight Forwarders are expected to speak on topical issues and numerous challenges facing freight Forwarding practice in Nigeria at the one day event.
Meanwhile all arrangements have been concluded to make the summit a successful one.
