It was an acknowledgement of giant strides, a confirmation of being a witness to qualitative service delivery as well as recognition for true professionalism as the prestigious WORLD CUSTOMS ORGANIZATION (WCO), HONOURED TALOD OCEAN AIRFREIGHT with The WCO Certificate of Merit.
The Certificate, which has the endorsement of the Secretary General of the Organization,Mr. Kunio Mukuriya, was presented to the Managing Director of TALOD Ocean Airfreight Ltd
.,who is also Pioneer Governing Council Vice Chairman as well as the 2nd Governing Council Chairman of Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarding Practice in Nigeria (CRFFN), Fwdr. Aare Hakeem Olanrewaju, RFFI(00002).
The World Customs Organization Certificate Award is an international recognition of private organizations endorsed by the National Customs following the obtainment of a clean bill of professional practices by International Federation of Freight Forwarders, FIATA, for outstanding trade compliance, qualitative logistics services and participation in the Global Trade Initiative Programmes; which in the local parlance is referred to as Compliant Declarant/Trader.
Each year, great number of Professional Freight Forwarding firms or Practitioners look forward to bagging The WCO CERTIFICATE of MERIT in the course of their professional career because of its global prestige .
Recall that yearly, during the International Customs Day celebration, member countries are encouraged to nominate a national organization with the actual prerequisites needed for the prestigious award at the international event , and TOLAD OCEAN AIRFREIGHT LIMITED earned the national recognition hence its presentation with the International Certificate Merit Award. And that is in recognition for: ” RENDERING EXCEPTIONAL SERVICES TO THE INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS COMMUNITIES”.
The award was presented by the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali, at the just concluded International Customs Day celebration, held in Nigeria’s Federal Capital, Abuja.
In his appreciation remarks, the MD of TALOD OCEAN AIRFREIGHT LTD., Fwdr. Aare Hakeem Olanrewaju, thanked and commended his company management team, dedicating the award to young freight Forwarders who are aspiring for professionalism as well as to keep track records on International best practices in all strata of the maritime industry; and urged them not to cast their aspirations overboard.
