CHIEF (DR) IFEANYI EMOH TIPPED FOR RE-ELECTION AS VICE CHAIR TINCAN CHAPTER AS THE CLOCK TICKS TOWARDS NAGAFF ELECTIONS
Pretty soon, the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders- NAGAFF will hold its Chapter elections for new officers that will man various positions at chapter level for the next four years.
The NAGAFF Electoral Commission -NECOM has rolled out the time table and election guidelines in readiness for a flawless process.
Among those that have filed out for one elective position or the other, many have called for the re-election of one of the finest brains at NAGAFF, an erudite scholar and advocate of maritime industry modernization, Chief Dr Ifeanyi Emoh as Vice Chairman, NAGAFF TinCan Chapter.
PROFILE:
Fwdr Dr. Ifeanyi Emoh is the immediate past Vice Chairman of NAGAFF, TinCan Chapter. He ventured into the maritime industry to train as a freight forwarder in 1999, very fresh from the University of Nigeria Nsukka where he bagged a Bsc degree Second Class Hons in Agric- Economics(1997). He went further to obtain a Master’s Degree in Transport Management (2017) and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the European American University Lagos (2023).
Emoh Humbly passed through the learning process of clearing and forwarding business under the tutelage of Deputy Comptroller of Customs Ozurumba Vitalis (Rtd).
In 2006, he attended Freight Forwarders’ Academy on Creek Road, Apapa, and graduated with Advanced Diploma in Freight Forwarding.
He joined NAGAFF Tincan Chapter in 2013, under the administration of High Chief Augustine Azubuike Ekweozor (Majesty) who was serving as sole administrator at that particular time.
He later contested and won the position of Financial Secretary in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018 for a second term with outstanding financial record balance for the first time in NAGAFF, TinCan Chapter.
Emoh was elected Vice Chairman in 2022, and was committed to the job till the end of his tenure early this year(2026).
Fwdr. Ifeanyi Emoh has attended various Management courses in the Maritime industry which include Shippers’ Council Management Course, Customs Trade Facilitation Course, Shipping and Terminal Management Course as well as other certification courses. And that indeed, helped him in building bridges across the sister associations in the Maritime industry.
Having satisfied the requirements for operatiing license as a Customs Freight Broker, in 2015 he registered MARIJOE GLOBAL SERVICES LTD., with operational office at Seaview Office Complex, National, TinCan Island Port.
A seasoned Freight Forwarder and Maritime Analyst, Emoh, as TinCan Chapter Vice Chairman, worked in collaboration with the Executive Chairman of NAGAFF TinCan Chapter, Chief Fwdr. Emeka Paul Chiedozie aka Seagold, to restore the glory of NAGAFF at the Chapter as they distinctively redefined leadership which in turn, moved Nagaff TinCan Chapter to an enviable position it occupies at the command today.
A man with enviable administrative ingenuity, Emoh is not only good at proffering leadership solutions, but also very pragmatic towards achieving his desired goals. He is charismatic and an unapologetic advocate of Ease of Doing Business.
Through advocacy and unionism he has continued to assist in making TinCan working environment very conducive for his team as well as his professional colleagues.
Fwdr. Ifeanyi Emoh is a member of Unique Maritime Club of Nigeria.
Member, Association of Igbo Maritime Practitioners in Nigeria – ASIMPIN, Tincan Chapter, and
President General, Ihioma Youths Association (IYA). Orlu, Imo State, and
Member, Ihioma Traditional Council of Chiefs.
A devout Christian and committed family man, Emoh is happily married and blessed with children.
As Vice Chairman whose responsibility is to assist the Executive Chairman in administration, Chief Dr. Ifeanyi Emoh, Ogbuefi Chinyere Ugo of Ihioma, will be readily available to carry out that statutory responsibility if re-elected for a second term in office.
