OWERRI FREIGHT FORWARDERS ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW OFFICERS

There was massive turnout on Wednesday 15th of April, 2026, as members of Owerri Freight Forwaders Association converged on Apapa Lagos to elect new executive.
The Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr Gideon Nwagbaraocha (right)presenting a certificate of return to the Chairman Elect, Chief (Dr) P.C. Shedrach.
The election, which was organized by an Electoral Committee Chaired by Mr Gideon Nwagbaraocha, was described as peaceful and flawless.
Addressing members, Chairman of the Electoral Committee urged members to maintain high level of decorum, and assured that the committee would be fair to all candidates.

He pleaded with those who lost out at screening stage to embrace peace and display high level of sportsmanship by supporting those whose names appeared on the ballots.

The election produced a Veteran Freight Forwarder, Chief (Dr) P.C. Shedrach (Omeudo), as Chairman and Mr Chijioke Abraham as Vice Chairman.
Other elected Officers include: Mr Soki Anyanwu, Secretary, Mr Smart Chinedu Nwaorgu, Financial Secretary, Sir Philips Akujobi Udunna, Treasurer, Mr Chidi Churchill Agwara, Assistant Secretary, Mr Cajetan Idimogu, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ms Ugonma Iheanacho, Welfare Officer, and Mr Marcel Anosike as Provost. The officers will serve the Association for a period of three years.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Chief (Dr) P.C. Shedrach, appreciated members of Owerri Freight Forwarders Association (OFFA), for their peaceful conduct during the election.
He thanked the Electoral Committee for their unwavering commitment to the exercise, saying that their selfless service, relentlessness, and strong belief in brotherhood had greatly inspired him, and would spur the new executive to always give their best.
Chief Shedrach extended a hand of fellowship to agreieved members, urging them to always come up with advise, suggestions and ideas. He promised that his administration would be open for constructive criticisms.

Continuing, the Chairman pledged to prioritize accountability, welfare of members, and to sustain peace and unity in the association. He thanked those who made voluntary donations to support the new administration, describing the gesture as a mark of solidarity and clear demonstration of love and commitment to the progress of the association.
