The Electoral Body of Association of Igbo Maritime Practitioners in Nigeria, ASIMPEC, has released the timetable for its chapter elections.

 

 

The long awaited Electoral timetable was released to all Chapters on Monday, the 14th of October, 2024, by the Chairman of ASIMPIN Electoral Commission – ASIMPEC, Mr. Chijioke Daniel Nkwazema

 

According to the Press release signed by the Chairman and made available to The Prestige Blended Magazine, the Elections into various offices of the Chapters have been scheduled to hold on Friday, 5th of December, 2024. The Elections are to be conducted by ASIMPIN Electoral Commission – ASIMPEC.

 

 

The Elections shall be conducted for all seven Chapters same day as venue and time for the exercise shall be communicated in due course. The Chapters are :
i) Apapa
ii)Tincan
iii) KLT
iv)PTML
v) Seme
vi)Airport and
vii) Ijora

 

 

According to ASIMPEC, Following the release of the electoral timetable and guideline, “the ban on electioneering campaign is hereby lifted. All the contestants to various positions are hereby advised to take advantage of the campaign period to get themselves prepared for the election and play by the rules”.

 

 

” The Electoral guidelines, the timetable, etc are made available to all the members. You may wish to contact the ASIMPEC Office for further details”, the statement read.

 

 

However, the Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Nkwazema, in the statement, reiterated his team’s commitment towards conducting free, fair and transparent elections for all Chapters.
