ANLCA SECRETARIAT AND THE IMPERATIVES OF CHUKS OKORO CANDIDACY

As candidates for the office of the General Secretary, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents- ANLCA embark on Nationwide consultations seeking the support of chieftains and eligible voters within the fold of the Foremost Freight Forwarding association, it is very important for major players not to make monumental mistake in choosing who occupies this sensitive position after Alhaji Abduaziz Mukaila.
Overtime, it has been proven that capacity, determination and diligence are the very vital attributes of virtually every man who have recorded significant success in genuine fields of endeavour. And Chief Chuks Okoro, posseses those unique attributes.
However, as it is within the rights of every bonafide member to contest in any elective position provided the person meets the prerequisites for the office he/she is vying for. It is also not out of place to support a credible candidate with verifiable level of capacity, maturity and ravenous hunger for excellence, and if you ask me of the candidate that posseses the aforementioned attributes and qualities l will not hesitate in presenting Chief Chuks Okoro to you.
The office of the General Secretary of ANLCA is not expected to be a tea party, and some of us strongly believe that those it is in their power to make the choice do not reduce it as such. The occupant of that exalted office is expected to be up and doing, sufficiently abreast with its Constitutional provisions, ethical conducts and ensure accurate documentation and archiving for future reviews and references .
The importance of the Secretariat should not be overemphasized and that is why primordial sentiments and every sense of entitlement must be jettisoned in choosing a candidate to take charge as ANLCA General Secretary.
Again, another opportunity beckons as the Association is set to elect a new set of its National Executive into various offices, one thing that is worth cheering about is having a veteran Customs licensed Agent and very revered Elder Statesman, an interesting character with verifiable level of competence, a man of integrity and capacity, Chief Chuks A. Okoro declare his interest to serve in that capacity.
Chief Chuks Okoro, Chairman/CEO, Oboloka International Company Limited. joined the association in 1988 and has remained a very dedicated member up until this day.
Chief Okoro, a Chartered Administrator, holds a Bsc degree in Economics, and Advanced Diploma in Shipping and Ports Administration, he has attended series of other professional courses and has been honoured with myriads of awards and certifications locally and Internationally.
Chief Chuks Okoro is Former Task Force Secretary, TICP, Former Task Force Chairman,KLT, Former Interim Chapter Secretary, Apapa, as well as Former National Committee Chairman, Security and Agency Relations.
Tested & trusted, reliable and transparent, he has been an advocate of seamless clearing procedures and moreso, an accurate record keeper with exceptional innovative ideas. If elected as General Secretary of ANLCA, Chief Chuks Okoro will in no doubt effectively ensure that the management of the Secretariat is digitalized for excellent archiving and auditing, and will maintain superb working relationship and unalloyed commitment to the reengineering of the Association’s image.
Nevertheless, Chief Okoro understands the challenges and responsibilities attendant to the office he is aspiring for and is very prepared to face and shoulder them with diligence and unparalleled commitment.
