HON. CHIBUZO OGAMBA INDUCTED AS FELLOW, INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT AND MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY

The Institute of Transport and Management Technology (ITMT) Badagry, formally, Institute of Air Travel and Maritime Studies, on Saturday, the 23rd of November, inducted Honourable Chibuzo Valentine Ogamba as Fellow of the Institute.
Honourable Ogamba, the MD/CEO of SIGABA Logistics Ltd, and Chairmanship Candidate, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents-ANLCA, KLT Chapter, was inducted alongside, Fwdr. Azeez Abayomi Mustapha, Managing Principal of AZ Logistics Limited, Assistant Comptroller Lawal Abdulmalik Argungu, Fwdr. Dr. Timothy Awogbemi, MD/CEO, Mas Global Logistics Ltd., Fwdr. Dr. Emeka Paul Chiedozie, Chairman, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders(NAGAFF), Tincan Chapter, and High Chief Dr. George Ndubisi, National Vice Chairman, Importers Association of Nigeria (IMAN) among other revered personalities.
The event marked the 40th anniversary of the Institute, and was her 27th Convocation and matriculation ceremony.
THE RECTOR OF ITMT, MRS CHIDERA CYNTHIA AHAMEFULE, FLANKED BY SOME OF THE INDUCTEES
Technological Innovation as a Veritable Tool to Shape the Future of Transportation for National Economic Enhancement was the theme of the Convocation lecture delivered by Dr. Olorunnimbe, Rafiu Oloruntoyin, Head of Department, Transport Planning and Policy, School of Transport and Logistics, Lagos State University, Ojo.
In her keynote address, the Director of the Institute, Mrs. Chidera Cynthia Ahamefule expressed appreciation to God Almighty for the milestone achieved, and the challenging hurdles which the Institute has surmounted to be where it is today.
In her words, ” the Institute of Transport and Management Technology has truly grown from a simple flight attendant school to a giant Monotechnic, graduating Captains of industry and making waves in the Transport industry, all glory to the Most High God”.
” Today, l am delighted and filled with immense joy that the dreams of my late parents were not extinguished, we gather here not to celebrate a milestone, but to critically reminisce the trajectory and very challenging hurdles that we have surmounted to be where we are today.”
” To the matriculants, l congratulate you, the Institute stands for discipline, integrity and excellence, these are attributes that is expected to be seen in you all as you officially commence your academic sojourn with us today, remember your certificate at the end of your programme here, will entail that you are not only found worthy in learning but also in character, which makes you a fit and proper graduate, ready to face the truest reality of the labour market”.
” To the graduands, l wish you nothing but the best, you have not come this far to entertain mediocrity, but to be the best and the shining star that will illuminate every sphere of life and human endeavour you will be venturing into. Do not forget the moral values and refined academic standards we have conscientiously infused in you all”, she said.
The 40th anniversary was marked amidst funfair and glamour as the Cadets of the Marchant Navy displayed their ingenuity in a well conducted parade that lasted for an hour.

Speaker after speaker saluted the visions of the Founder Late Dr. Victor Chibor and his wife, Former Rector of the Institute, Late Dr. Mrs. Lilian C. Chibor who passed on very recently.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Registrar of the Institute, Dr. Oko Christopher, said that the school was approved by the State and Federal Government. ” It is equally recognized by the Federal Ministry of Education, approved and supervised by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) which oversees the academic programmes of polytechnics and other allied higher Institutions. It is enlisted in the JAMB brochure as one of the Institutions of higher learning in Nigeria, which offers admission via Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination platform. From the inception of the Institute till date, it has made tremendous achievements with regards to many sectors, such as manpower development and training with emphasis on transportation, business management, computer hardware and software engineering,” the Registrar stated.
